Design Manifesto
August 2021 - October 2023
At the intersection of human needs and boundless creativity, innovative design becomes a transformative force, shaping products and solutions that establish the way we live, work, and connect.
PROJECT BRIEF
The goal of this project was to understand and promote our own philosophy and aesthetics in design in order to offer a strong foundation to build our thesis topics on.
WHY?
UI/UX design, with its capacity to optimize user experiences, plays a pivotal role in the success of digital products. Society-centric design is indispensable, as it ensures that technology not only meets individual needs, but also aligns with broader societal values, promoting inclusivity and allowing people with varying abilities to participate in the digital world, which is increasingly becoming a vital part of modern society.

SOCIETY CENTRIC
By understanding user needs, it helps streamline the design process. Designers can focus their efforts on features and elements that truly matter to users in an environment for effective problem-solving. Creating solutions that genuinely resolve user challenges makes UI/UX design all the more valuable in society. “When the goal is to get impactful solutions out into the world. You have to make the solutions that are desirable, workable, and viable” (Gladkiy, 2018).
UI/ UX DESIGN
UI/UX design serves as the bridge between humans and technology, highlighting accessibility and usability for users of all backgrounds and abilities to have a more enjoyable and engaging experience. I believe that design choices can influence and impact society. For example, social media platforms have changed the way people communicate and share information, impacting social dynamics. As technology continues to advance, the importance of UI/UX design in shaping society will only grow.
DESIGN MANIFESTO
Using Adobe Illustrator, I created graphics that fit into my design aesthetics. For the final deliverable, I combined my design manifesto and graphics into a Figma prototype.
